Last updated 2026. These terms govern your use of RentSL.
1. Using RentSL
RentSL is a marketplace that connects owners of rentable items and property in Sierra Leone with renters. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account information.
2. Listings
Owners are responsible for the accuracy, legality and safety of what they list. Every listing is reviewed before publication and may be rejected, paused or removed at our discretion.
3. Bookings and payments
A booking is confirmed once the owner accepts the request and payment is completed. RentSL charges renters a 10% service fee on the rental subtotal. Payments can be made with Orange Money, Afrimoney, card or bank transfer.
4. Security deposits
Owners may require a refundable deposit. Deposits are returned after the item is returned in the condition it was collected, less any agreed deductions for damage or late return.
5. Cancellations
Renters may cancel a request before it is accepted at no cost. After acceptance, cancellation terms agreed between renter and owner apply. Owners who repeatedly cancel may be removed.
6. Disputes
Raise a dispute from the booking within 48 hours of the rental ending. Our moderation team reviews evidence from both sides and decides on deposit deductions.
7. Prohibited items
Weapons, illegal substances, stolen goods and anything requiring a licence you do not hold may not be listed.
8. Liability
RentSL does not own the items listed and is not a party to the rental agreement between owner and renter. Users rent at their own risk and should agree insurance and usage terms in writing.
